Volvo owners often drive long distances on dark roads, and that is where an extra light makes the biggest difference. You can mount the light behind the number plate or low in the front, and both options switch on with your high beam.
Which LED bar fits a Volvo?
It depends on how visible you want the light to be. Ticon is made to sit behind the number plate and is almost invisible in daylight. Twilight 300W is a slim bar that fits low in the front of models like the XC60, V60 and V90. Measure the space you have before you choose length.
Behind the number plate or in the front?
Behind the number plate gives the cleanest look, and nothing is drilled into the bumper. Ticon reaches 1 lux at 545 m in Boost mode and is IP68 and IP69K rated, so salt and snow are not a problem. A bar in the front gives more width and reach. Twilight reaches 1 lux at 794 m.
How do you connect it to the high beam?
The light bar is connected through a relay to the high beam signal, so it turns on and off together with your high beam. Our relay wiring kits come with plug and play connectors. On newer cars where the lights are controlled by the car’s computer, a plug-in solution can save you from cutting wires. Ask us which one fits your Volvo and model year.
Is it legal to fit extra lights on a Volvo?
Yes, if the light is E-approved and switches off with the high beam. Ticon and Twilight are both E-approved for road use. In the EU, the reference numbers of all high beams on the car may add up to no more than 100.
What do you need besides the light?
A mount for your car and a wiring kit for the number of lights you fit. On each light you will find a kit with the parts that belong together, so you can order everything at once.
