LED light bar for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y

A Tesla lights up the road well in town, but on a dark country road the standard high beam runs out early. A flush-mount LED bar in the front gives you light far down the road, and it turns on and off together with your high beam.

Which LED bar fits a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y?

Twilight 300W is the bar we fit on both cars, mounted flush in the front so it follows the lines of the car. It is 508 mm long, gives 18,140 lumen measured and reaches 1 lux at 794 m. The Tesla kit includes the parts made for the car, so you do not need to adapt anything yourself.

How does the light bar connect to the high beam?

It connects through the car’s diagnostic port with an XBB dongle and a relay unit, so the bar follows the high beam without cutting into the headlight wiring. The dongle reads the high beam signal and switches the light bar wirelessly. Model Y from 2025, Juniper, uses its own adapter, and the right one is listed on each kit.

Is an LED bar on a Tesla legal?

Yes, as long as the light is E-approved and switches off together with the high beam. Twilight is E-approved for road use. In the EU, the reference numbers of all high beams on the car may add up to no more than 100, so check the number on the light against the lights you already have.

What is in the kit?

Everything you need to fit the light, listed under In the kit on each product page. That means the light bar, the mount for your model and the parts that connect it to the high beam.

Can you fit it yourself?

Yes, if you are used to basic tools and taking off a few trim parts. Most of the work is fitting the mount and placing the dongle in the diagnostic port. Would you rather have it fitted, book installation at a partner workshop from the product page.
