LED Bars

Luxtar LED bars are developed in Kungsbacka, Sweden, and tested on Swedish roads in darkness, snow and sub-zero temperatures. Every driver wants a different beam, so there is one for everyone. Spot suits you if you drive long, straight roads with little oncoming traffic. Driving gives a wider beam for winding country roads, where the ditches and the forest edge are what you need to see. If you want both, there are all-round bars like the Luxtar Twilight, a slim 300 W bar that reaches both far and wide. The X20 was named best value in Ojanperä's test three years in a row. Connect the bar to your high beam with one of our wiring kits, so it switches on and off with the high beam as the law requires.

Spot, Driving or all-round

Spot gathers the light into a narrow beam that reaches far. It suits long, straight roads and open fields. Driving spreads the light wider, so you see the ditches, the verge and animals at the forest edge. It suits winding country roads. All-round bars like the Twilight combine reach and width in one bar.

Choose the length for your vehicle

The length decides how much light the bar gives and where it fits. Measure the grille, bumper or roof rack before you order, and leave room for the air intake so the engine can cool. Length and power are listed in the specs of every bar.

Mounting and wiring

The bar can sit on the grille, behind the grille, on a bull bar or on the roof. For many cars there are model-specific kits with bracket and wiring that fit without drilling. The bar connects to the high beam through a wiring kit with a relay, so it switches on and off with the high beam. Newer cars with CAN bus usually need a CAN bus wiring kit.

What the law says

Auxiliary high-beam lights must be E-approved and wired so they only light up together with the high beam. You find the E-approval in the specs of every bar. If you are unsure, call us and we will go through your car.

Questions and answers

Spot or Driving, which should I choose?

If you mostly drive long, straight roads, choose Spot. If you drive winding country roads with wildlife at the forest edge, choose Driving. If you want both reach and width, choose an all-round bar like the Twilight.

What length should I choose?

Choose the longest bar that fits on the grille or bumper without covering the air intake. Measure before you order.

Do I need a relay?

Yes. A relay wiring kit connects the bar safely to the high beam. Newer cars with CAN bus usually need a CAN bus wiring kit.

Is an LED bar legal?

Yes, if the bar is E-approved and wired so it only lights up together with the high beam. Our wiring kits make the connection right.

Can the bar sit behind the grille?

Yes, on many cars. Look at the model-specific kits for your car, or ask us which bar fits.

Can I return an LED bar?

Yes. You have a 30-day open purchase, and shipping is free.
