Why do you need a relay?
You need a relay because extra lights draw more current than the car’s light switch can handle. The relay switches the lights on with a small signal from the high beam.
Which relay kit should you choose?
You choose a relay kit by the number of lights and the connector they use. Newer cars often need a CAN bus kit.
